I work at the school, and I enjoy going to work every day. The indoor climate is great, the sound is fantastic, and every room is bright and nice. The building is used by everyone in the town, and that strengthens the community.

The quality of light is an important driver
Research shows that the quality and consistency of light is at least as important as the physical environment in achieving well-being and well-being in the premises of the country's schools.
When form and function merge into a higher unity
In order for architecture and function to merge into a higher unity, it is also important that the requirements in the Building Regulations can be combined with the lighting standard.
The building regulations require A energy windows, which reduces the quality of daylight in classrooms. Therefore, high demands are placed on the artificial light used. Research has recently shown that A energy windows in triple-glazed glass reduce the quality of daylight in the classroom. Therefore, it is important that we, as a manufacturer of light, can contribute light as close to natural daylight as possible. It is the greatly reduced amount of short-wave light that helps stimulate the body's circadian rhythm, which cannot penetrate the energy-efficient windows. This affects learning and can have negative health effects, including reduced sleep quality and a lack of vitamin D formation indoors.
Indirect light with ECOLITE CIRCLE
Our ECOLITE CIRCLE luminaire was designed and developed specifically for the DGNB gold certified project. The lamp contributes to a good indoor climate in several ways, including through indirect lighting and low glare. In addition, the luminaire can be easily upcycled as it has a replaceable light source.

At LITE, we are finding that developers and consultants are more open to sustainability and the need for a circular economy approach in new construction and renovations. This means that more people are prioritizing lighting quality alongside sustainability.
Light is one of the elements that has the greatest influence on students' and teachers' everyday lives and well-being in the long term. It is therefore important that there is still a focus on the quality of the indoor climate. Light is measured in LUX, while well-being and learning are difficult to measure.
OUTDOOR LIFE - ALSO AFTER SCHOOL
Lights for paths, parking and roads
The outdoor areas offer everything from playing and skating during recess and after school.
Illuminated paths around the school connect the sports hall's courts with parking and playgrounds. A combination of AURA bollards and park luminaires in the form of LYKTEN and VISTA has been chosen for this.
AURA stands out with its simple design, which almost integrates with the landscape and creates a fantastic play of light. The bollard is extremely hardy and therefore fits well with the natural area around Vrå Children's and Cultural Center.
The LAMP adapts with its Scandinavian expression to its surroundings and also provides a soft, pleasant indirect light.
VISTA is used on the skate park and playgrounds, which are located in pockets around the building, where the light needs to be more focused. The luminaire is adjustable around 2 axes; horizontally around the mast and vertically in the mast bracket and has a clear glass shield with a built-in honeycomb filter.
